UMI XE 5 inch budget Android smartphone for Rs. 4999

UMI XE Budget mobile smartphoneUMI has launched a cheap and budget android based smartphone/phablet for only Rs. 4999. The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 ICS and is powered by 1GHz MediaTek MTK6517 single core processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. The key feature of this budget mobile is a huge 5 inch TFT, capacitive touch screen (800 x 480 Pixels) with 256MB RAM and 128MB internal storage.

However the mobile does not support 3G and only supports 2G network. Other features include a back 2MP camera with flashlight and auto focus and 0.3 MP front camera. The handset is a Dual SIM Card Dual Standby ready with WIFI + Bluetooth + Gravity Sensor + FM.

At this price point, this handset appears to be value for money and is the most feature rich mobile below the 5000 budget and also comes with a massive 5 inch display. Currently the manufacturer is offering a Free Leather Pouch + 4 GB MicroSD Card with the phone!!

UMI has recently launched the Umi S1, Umi X2 and Umi X1s models in India and currently the UMI X2 model is a hot favourite.
