I have a Nexus 5 with Lolipop upgrade. I use a West Bengal circle number and while I go to Kolkata that becomes roaming circle for the number and a ‘R’ symbol appears just beside the network strength indicating bar.
Now I recharged a 2g pack for my aircel number. The ‘E’ symbol appears while my umber present in home circle, whereas in roaming circle nothing appears instead of ‘R’
Now I have recharged a 3g pack. Being present in roaming circle, as I cannot see any ‘3G’ or ‘H+’ symbol instead of ‘R’, I am unable to understand whether I am using 3g or not. As my internet browsing speed experience is very poor, so I assume 3G is not enabled in my handset.
FYI, I activated 3G by sending ‘START 3G’ to 121 and in my network setting APN is set as ‘aircelgprs’ and Network Type is set as ‘3G’ and now I am unable to use internet as well.
Could anyone please guide or suggest something?

In lollipop operating system u will not see d interenet symbol H+ d only symbol u will see if internet is not running is this symbol ! So don’t worry ur internet is running fine n if it doesn’t run try to set d setting to UTMS/3G/WCDMA/dual mode then switch off ur mobile n restart
This aircel if network is max then it is the best 3g network and ceapest of all in nagarbhavi aircel network is full so in nagarbhavi aircel is the best network
speed is very good in bhubaneshwar comapred to availble 3g providers ,relence and bsnl, at the current time .
never tried to get data available .
i use dongles of huwai which keeps track of it .
also using conectify dispatch u can get and limit data available.
windows 8 & 8.1 provides it itself for metered data.

Well don’t purchase AIRCEL sim . I think i wasted my 110 rupees in purchasing this shit. Forget about 3G these idiots don’t even 2G network in Delhi.

hello friend./ ithink that there is network problem in your area. otherwise in kolkata i always get 3g tower with the same 3g speed even if i recharge for 2g and the best thing is that it gives 3g speed in 2g but it cuts the mb at the rate of 2g only.. i think aircel is the best
Maximum of keys given in this is not giving any valid information and also AIRCEL is not try to solve many of the users problems and having worst costumer service in Net data grievance handling,,,, Try to avoid aircel service,,, i lost so much of money in this worst service especially internet,,,,,

yes ,in chennai in aynavaram area its speed flutuates some times high sometimes low .even dont get the full uses of 3g data at high speed .helpline very bad same for idea also .airtel is good but expensive dont know about mts but read -ve review same for ticona net provider fedback also .
not any other option but go to go for aircel.
