BSNL Movie on Demand

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new tariff plan for its Movie on Demand service for its broadband customers. This feature has been launched by BSNL in association with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Private Limited. This new tariff is available for the broadband customers of all the circles across India, effective from 1st May, 2016.

The latest BSNL tariff plan offered Video on Demand for SD/HD services with a validity of 7 days. The price was Rs 49 for a blockbuster a category movie, while Rs 99 for the A++ categories. It could not find much success because the content offered was not up to date and the tariff charged was comparatively costly. Also, the customers had to pay for the data used for streaming movies. Under such situations, it is hoped that the new Movie on Demand Plan will appease the existing customers, and attract new ones.

However, it should be noted that the amount paid will be for streaming movies only, and are not applicable for downloads.
